# Show or Hide your chatbot based on Country

Please go to Settings > Targeting and click on the + Add rule button under
Visitor targeting rules. Select Locations from the dropdown list.









In the above example, we added a rule under Show for. The chatbot will be only
visible to users from the countries that are listed above. These locations are
detected using the IP address of the visitor.



The same rule can be added under Hide for as well.



Note



This setting is only available for the chatbot when it is used as Widget. It is
not applicable when used as Embed or Link.
