# List Type

List Type is useful for providing selectable options to users as they start
typing their responses. It's practical use List type as it saves time for the
users.


CLICK

Click or drag & drop the List type inside Questions.




EDIT

Click on edit icon to customize.



You will add the possible options by utilizing add options button. Simply type
in the options you would like to present and press the enter key in your
keyboard. Once you are done with your edits, click on save.




CHECK

Click on preview and see how it looks.



The possible answers are displayed when a user starts typing. Users can also
provide an answer that was not set by you if validate suggestions toggle switch
is off.






ADD VALIDATION

By default, the validation is turned off. You can add validation to your List
Type by turning on the toggle switch for validate suggestions. This is useful
when the list of options the user can select is fixed or when the list is very
long.



You have the option to customize the error message displayed for invalid inputs.



Warning

 * Adding validation can decrease your conversion rates.

 * It is also not recommended when your suggestion list is very small in number.
   
   

Tip





 * Click on the arrow icon next to publish to restore to previous version.
   
   

 * Once you click on publish, all pending changes will become live on your form.
